Open Positions

  • Lola’s, a chef-driven and guest-focused café, is looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team. At Lola’s, we believe kitchens should be collaborative, supportive, and built on shared responsibility—not the old models of burnout and toxicity. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about food, serious about leadership, and ready to help guide a team in a kitchen where growth and accountability go hand in hand.

    Why Lola’s?

Lola’s is a female-led, inclusive kitchen where we’re building something different: a culture rooted in professionalism, collaboration, and care. Our menu is crafted with intention, reflecting the people and stories behind the food, and our systems are designed to give structure and consistency while leaving room for creativity.

We also believe in the strength of the people who make up our kitchen. Our team is trustworthy, ego-free, punctual, attentive, energetic, cheerful, and courteous. It’s an environment where people know their roles, support one another, and create a seamless experience for our guests.

As Kitchen Manager, you won’t just “run the line”—you’ll help shape how the team grows, how the kitchen operates, and how our standards are lived out every day.

    What We’re Looking For

Seeking a kitchen leader who is both organized and hands-on—someone who can manage the details of inventory, ordering, and scheduling while keeping the kitchen steady in service. A leader who motivates by example, reinforces standards, and keeps systems running consistently.

The right candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about Lola’s food philosophy. They understand that leadership isn’t about control but about guiding a group toward excellence together.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead prep and line teams through daily walkthroughs and shift check-ins.

    • Uphold food quality, timing, and sanitation standards.

    • Manage ordering, inventory counts, and scheduling within agreed budgets.

    • Step onto the line when needed to support flow and consistency.

    • Communicate outcomes, issues, and solutions with ownership.

    Qualifications

    • 2–3 years in a leadership role in a professional kitchen (Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar).

    • Skilled in managing schedules, ordering, and the systems already in place to keep operations consistent.

    • Strong organizational skills with experience using prep lists, line guides, and checklists.

    • Ability to stay calm, consistent, and collaborative under pressure.

    • Punctual, reliable, and accountable to both systems and people.

    • Ego-free approach with a focus on respect, accountability, and shared success.

    • Attentive to details while keeping the bigger picture of service in mind.

    • Energetic and positive, bringing steady momentum to shifts and to the team.

    • Committed to building a kitchen culture rooted in growth, care, and consistency.

    What We Offer

    • Competitive pay based on experience and role scope, with growth tied to performance and KPIs.

    • A consistent, set schedule that prioritizes two consecutive days off in a row.

    • PTO after 6 months, access to a 401K, free movie tickets, and discounts across all of our concepts.

    • A transparent and collaborative team environment where your ideas, leadership, and growth matter.

    • The opportunity to help shape a kitchen culture that is supportive, inclusive, and forward-thinking.

  • As a FOH Manager at Lola’s, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations within our unique movie theatre setting. You’ll ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience across various service styles, from counter service to brunch and dinner. This role requires a dynamic leader who is comfortable managing the flow of service, communicating with guests, utilizing tools like OpenTable, and fostering a positive team culture. You’ll be essential in upholding our standards of service—Friendly, Attentive, and Knowledgeable—while mentoring your team and leading by example.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership & Culture: Set the tone for each shift, leading with professionalism and a positive attitude. You’ll embody Lola’s values and act as a role model, fostering a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous learning.

    • Guest Service Excellence: Ensure every guest receives exceptional service by being attentive and proactive. You’ll engage with guests throughout their visit, handle any issues with tact, and create an atmosphere where every guest feels welcomed and valued.

    • Manage Service Flow: Oversee all aspects of the dining experience, from seating arrangements to timing and table rotations. Utilize OpenTable to manage reservations and walk-ins efficiently, maintaining smooth operations during peak times.

    • Team Training & Development: Conduct pre-shift huddles to align the team on daily goals, menu updates, and service priorities. Actively coach and train team members on service standards and procedures, enhancing their skills and knowledge over time.

    • Operational Oversight: Monitor the dining room, bar, and kitchen to ensure that all areas are working together harmoniously. You’ll delegate tasks, anticipate needs, and make quick adjustments to optimize service delivery.

    • Reporting & Communication: Complete end-of-shift reports detailing daily achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement. Keep open lines of communication with the ownership team and fellow managers, sharing relevant updates and insights.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in a leadership role within a hospitality or restaurant setting.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with engaging with guests and leading a team.

    • Proficient with restaurant management software, including OpenTable or similar systems.

    • Ability to adapt to varying service styles and shift demands, with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality guest experiences.

    • Knowledgeable about food and beverage service, with a commitment to ongoing learning and team development.

    Preferred Traits:

    • Friendly: You approach each interaction with warmth and professionalism, ensuring guests and team members feel at ease and valued.

    • Attentive: You have a sharp eye for detail, enabling you to anticipate guest needs and respond quickly to service demands.

    • Knowledgeable: You have a solid understanding of restaurant operations and a passion for learning about food, wine, and service techniques.
