What began as a neighborhood cafe in Dundee has grown into much more. Today our collective includes two cafes: Lola’s in Dundee and Fig. on the Omaha Riverfront as well as our Events & Catering outfit and our Sourdough Bakery.

Lola’s Bakery is seeking an enthusiastic and talented sourdough bread baker to join our team. Working alongside the head baker, the Lola’s Bakers prepare and bake various sourdough breads, bagels, brioche pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods. Our bakers are responsible for upholding our standards of food quality, cleanliness and teamwork.
We keep bakery hours with the baker shift starting at 4am.
Responsibilities:
Efficiency: Adhere to the order of operations for the day to for efficient workflow on daily bake and mixes.
Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment, keeping all areas organized.
Inventory Management: Ensure all necessary items are available at the start of the shift, communicating needs and discrepancies promptly.
Quality Assurance: Consistently prepare and serve food according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards. Ensure that production adheres to the timetable of the levain above all other schedules.
Requirements:
Experience: 2 years of professional kitchen experience
Certifications: ServeSafe Training
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills, ability to follow recipes, and high cleanliness standards
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-production environment. Flexibility to handle changing demands and priorities with grace.
Desire for Excellence: A deep enthusiasm for sourdough, bread, and baking, with a particular focus on pastry.
Ambition: An interest in learning new things, getting better at your craft, and impressing people with your products
Reliable Transportation: Must have valid drivers license and access to a vehicle for early morning start times.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly $23

Lola’s is looking for a talented front of house professional to join our team as a barista. Our neighborhood cafe is a destination for many in Omaha. They come for the food, the coffee, the atmosphere, and our vibrant and friendly team.
If you have a passion for espresso and good food, experience in high volume, and willingness to go above and beyond for our guests, we want to hear from you.
Position: Barista/Counter

As a Host at Lola’s, you are the first expression of our hospitality. You embody the spirit of “Lola”—welcoming, intuitive, and grounded in care. You set the tone for each guest’s experience, creating an environment where people feel seen, comfortable, and invited to stay awhile.This role goes beyond managing a waitlist—it’s about holding space for connection, pacing the room with intention, and ensuring every guest interaction reflects our values.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome every guest with warmth, presence, and genuine care
Manage reservations and waitlists with accuracy and flow
Thoughtfully pace seating to support both guest experience and team success
Communicate clearly with guests and team members to maintain harmony in the dining room
Anticipate and respond to guest needs and offer a hospitality experience that feels natural, not transactional
Answer phones and provide helpful, informed responses about the restaurant
Present a clean, calm, and inviting host stand and entry space
Maintain awareness of table status and dining room activity
Support the team wherever needed to create a seamless service
Offer a sincere and memorable farewell, inviting guests back into our community
Qualifications
Previous host or hospitality experience strongly preferred, but not required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay grounded and organized in a fast-paced environment
A natural sense of empathy and awareness of others
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to jump in and help
Availability for Saturday and Sunday brunch is a must
